The Challenge
Atomic Fi had built a successful fintech platform automating direct deposit switching and payroll changes across major financial institutions. Atomic Fi’s infrastructure team needed to process thousands of daily browser automations handling sensitive financial data, but the security requirements were non-negotiable.
Building an in-house browser automation system would require dedicated DevOps resources and ongoing maintenance. Cloud-based solutions couldn't meet their strict data isolation requirements for financial information. The team needed:
- Production-ready browser automation at enterprise scale
- Complete control over infrastructure to prevent data leakage between sessions
- Self-hosted deployment with customization for sensitive financial workflows
That's when they discovered Browserless.
The Solution
Browserless's self-hosted enterprise images enabled Atomic Fi to implement a security-first architecture: one container per task, ensuring zero chance of data leakage between customer sessions.
These capabilities helped Atomic to scale to processing tens of thousands of daily automations across payroll systems and financial institutions. Managing their browser fleet now requires minimal lift thanks to Browserless's custom endpoint support and responsive engineering team, giving them confidence to focus on expanding their fintech product offerings.
The Results
With Browserless, Atomic Fi built a mission-critical fintech platform on a foundation of secure, scalable browser automation:
With browser automation on autopilot, the Atomic Fi team continues expanding their Browserless integration to tackle increasingly sophisticated sites and complex authentication flows.
About the Partnership
Atomic Fi represents one of Browserless's most security-conscious implementations. Working closely with the Browserless engineering team, Atomic was the first customer to implement custom endpoints in enterprise images which is a capability now available to other enterprise customers. The self-hosted deployment model gives Atomic Fi complete control over their infrastructure while handling direct deposit changes, and other sensitive financial workflows. As Michael notes, the security and flexibility that Browserless provides through self-hosting has been essential.
Ready to explore secure browser automations?
If you’re building or scaling sensitive financial workflows and need strict data isolation, Atomic Fi’s approach shows how self-hosted Browserless with custom enterprise images can provide both security and scale.
You can adapt this architecture: one container per task, self-hosted deployment, and custom endpoints, to keep your own customer data isolated while still moving quickly on new automation use cases.
